Plazmaman's Stage 3.5 intercooler kit is designed to suit the BA and BF XR6 Turbo/FPV F6 Typhoon & Tornado models. This kit comes complete with a huge lightweight 500x410x76mm tube and fin PRO series intercooler, 76mm cold side piping, 2.75 hot side piping, under headlight cold air intake including a K&N filter, and a Plazmaman intake plenum. This kit is the ideal kit to use when you are looking to get the most power out of your BA/BF, while still utilizing a factory low mount turbocharger position. There are turbochargers out there on the market that will assist in making over 500+rwkw in the factory position, and this intercooler kit is the most effective way to cool that charged air.
One of the main features of this kit is the Plazmaman custom intake plenum. This plenum bolts to the factory runners, and positions the throttle body towards the passenger side headlight to allow for shorter intercooler piping; not only does this look cleaner and neater, but it encourages much better turbo response. The upgrade plenum also provides an increase in volume over the factory unit, which is a huge advantage when a high flowed/larger turbocharger is being used.
Our hot side piping kit is also included in this kit, which eliminates the factory rubber hose that goes from the intercooler to the turbocharger. This means the car is hard piped from the throttle body, all the way to the turbocharger. Hard piping allows for greater air flow, and it's aluminium construction won't collapse or flex under boost like a factory rubber constructed hose.
The Intercooler & piping is available in raw, polished or stealth black finish. Silicone hoses are available in black.
The Under Headlight CAI will only suit 3 inch inlet turbo chargers. If you are using a 4 inch inlet turbo please select one of the 2 extra options we have in the checkout list. By choosing one of these options, please be advised that we ave already subtracted the cost of the under headlight CAI that you no longer require.
